Face Painting Terms & Conditions
FACE PAINTING DISCLAIMER – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
- We follow strict guidelines in regards to hygiene – all equipment is cleaned thoroughly between events.
- To ensure health and hygiene standards are maintained we ask that products and equipment are only touched and used by members of our team.
- Children are to be supervised at all times.
- All products used are water based and skin safe. They comply with UK/EU regulations however, as with all cosmetics there is always a small risk of allergic reaction which we cannot be held liable for.
- Skin that is to be painted must be clean, dry and free from infection. Equally, people with infectious illnesses, such as a cold or flu, will not be painted. Additionally, those with head lice cannot be painted due to risk of spreading.
- For those who have had a reaction to cosmetics in the past or are having their face painted for the first time it is recommended that a patch test be completed. If there is no reaction after 15 the individual can determine if they are experiencing a reaction and decide whether or not to continue with the service.
- Only people over the age of 3 years old are able to be face painted. At the artists discretion a decision maybe be made to complete a design on the hand or arm of a child under 3 years old.
- Only a consenting child can be painted. No force should be applied to the child from a guardian; they must be able to sit for the service themselves.
- At private events it is the responsibility of the organising adult to gain permission for any unattended children to be painted.
- Where it has been agreed it is the responsibility of the event organiser to provide adequate shelter for both the artist and the service users.
- Our minimum booking time is one hour.
- Our water-based paints are easily removed with warm, soapy water. Any further staining can be removed by a oil based cleanser or skin safe oil (such as olive oil). As the paints are water activated they will also be removed by rain and by pool water.
- Bookings are confirmed in writing either via email, social media or a physical contract.
- Any alterations made to the booking date or time must be made at the earliest possible time. Changes cannot be guaranteed as other events may be in place.
- Cancellations by the artist are sometimes unavoidable, such as in cases of illness, however these are avoided at all costs and as much notice as possible will be given.
- We expect to be treated with respect while at work and reserve the right to leave an event should we feel threatened or in danger. It is not the artists job to police crowds.
